Day for Night is an immersive music festival that explores the collision of sound and light. Well known artist performs among renowned projection, digital and light artists over a weekend in Houston, Texas.
For the 2015 festival, we created an installation for one of the VIP tents. The walls are decorated with a tactile, dimensional pattern that encourages onlookers to walk through the exhibit to touch the installation. As a means to further engage with the visitor, a motion sensor is triggered when walking into the exhibit that causes Christmas lights in the ceiling to dance in random ways.
This was my first experience with Arduino and programming of any kind so we sought out help from a friend. The code for this installation was written by Dev Dungeon.
